The 1970’s were a bustling time for the quaint village of Bigfork, located on the northeastern portion of Flathead Lake. The Elves began decorating the town for Christmas, Burgertown served its first patties, summer musicals were enjoyed at the Playhouse with music and dancing after at the Mountain Lake Lodge or Bigfork Inn, and all was surrounded by the beauty of lake and mountain small town life. In those days, dinner was often caught at the river, a house on the lake could be purchased for $40,000 and Montana Real Estate Group opened its doors in downtown Bigfork.
